LOCATION - Conway is in Carroll County. The Routes to go to Conway are Route 153, Route 16, Route 302, and Route 112.
GEOGRAPHICAL FEATURES - Conway is in the Saco River Valley and the White Mountain Valley. Conway Lake is in Conway.
TOURIST ATTRACTIONS - There are lots of tourists attractions in Conway. There are the Conway Scenic Railroad and the Mt. Washington Cog Railway. The Cog Railway brings people up to look around and to sleep up in a hotel.
POPULATION - There are about 8,431 people in Conway.
BUSINESSES - In Conway, there are a lot of outlet stores. A lot of the businesses in Conway are based on tourism. The Mountain Ear is published in Conway. Conway has two radio stations. WBNC has FM and AM and WMWV is FM. In Conway, there is a television station called Valley Vision.
HISTORY - In 1765, Conway was named after Henry Seymour. There was rich soil near the rivers. A footbridge was made over the Saco River. Bridges were destroyed in bad weather. Stage coaches started to come to Conway in the 1890's. In the 1930's and 40's, snow trains started to bring skiers to North Conway for skiing.
