LOCATION - Salem is on Interstate 93 and only 32 miles North of Boston. Salem is in Rockingham County.

 

GEOGRAPHICAL FEATURES - Ponds found in Salem are Corbetts Pond, Little Island Pond, and Captain Pond.

 

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS - Some tourist attractions in Salem are Campbell's Scottish Highlands Golf Course, Canobie Lake Park, and the Rockingham Park for horse racing. America's Stonehenge is a place where lots of rocks make paths or chambers.

 

POPULATION - The population of Salem is 27,092 people.

 

BUSINESSES - There are many businesses in Salem. Some are Computer Town and Staples. There is also the Coca-Cola Bottling Plant.

 

HISTORY - Salem first became a town on May 11, 1750.

America's Stonehenge is 30 acres of rock chambers built by ancient people. It is over 4,000 years old. It is one of the most important places in New Hampshire.
