History

LOCATION - Hebron is located in Grafton County, New Hampshire. If you are coming from Maine or Vermont, you would take Route 302. Then you take Route 3A to Hebron. If you were coming from Canada, you would go down on Route 3, jump onto 302, then go on Route 3A. If you were coming from Massachusetts, you would go on Route 3, then jump onto Route 3A.

GEOGRAPHICAL FEATURES - The geographical features around Hebron are Newfound Lake, Crosby Mountain, Bear Hills, and Cockermouth River.

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS - On the north shore of Newfound Lake a building was built for an Interpretive Center for a Summer Nature Education Program for people that liked nature. Before the education center was built, it was called Paradise Point.

POPULATION - In 1997, Hebron's population grew to be 414 people.

BUSINESSES - Hebron's biggest business is Freudenberg-Nok. It makes automotive seals. It was established in 1950 and has 1,000 employees.

HISTORY - Hebron was incorporated as a town on June 15, 1792. In 1920, a band was organized in Hebron and a bandstand was constructed on the common. For a few years, the band entertained people, but the bandstand was taken down in 1947. For the first 100 years, the farmers were self-sufficient on their farms on the Cockermouth River.
