Principal’s Notes
Thanks to all of our parents for taking the time during conferences to fill out the parent survey in the library. Congratulations to Linda Barrowclough who won the raffle for a $50 gift card at Hannafords. We will be using the results of the parent survey to help us build our school portfolio. I will be keeping you informed about the results and responses to the data as the year goes on.
Another thank you to everyone for collecting the Hannaford Helps Schools certificates. If you still have any certificates, please return them to us before December 12 to enable us to bring them to the Ossipee store by the deadline.
King Pine will be here on next Monday, December 3, to measure students who are renting skis or snowboards. If you haven’t returned your blue form yet, please send it in by Monday. If you are not sure if your child will be renting, it is better to have them measured, we can always cancel the rental order as it gets closer to January.
Now that the cold weather has arrived, please make sure that your child comes to school with “winter” outerwear. We go out for recess everyday unless the wind chill is too severe. Every child needs to have a warm hat, gloves and coat. Once we get snow, they also need snow pants and boots. The nurse has only a limited number of items to loan out and we want to ensure that your child stays warm and dry. Thanks for your help.
The test for the Alert Now system came just in time! The delayed opening this week was the true test and it appears to have gone smoothly. If you did not receive a phone call, please let us know ASAP so we can make the necessary corrections.
December is always a very busy month, please be sure to check the calendar for upcoming events. I hope to see all of you at the Holiday Concert on Thursday, December 13th
