Curriculum Design and Alignment

The KRHS faculty is in the process of redesigning our curriculum based on the work of Grant Wiggins and Jay McTighe called "Understanding by Design". Understanding by Design (UbD) is a framework for designing curriculum units, performance assessments, and instruction that lead our students to an essential understanding of the content we teach. The New Hampshire Department of Education has issued a mandate that requires all schools to produce curriculum with core competencies as assessment for all students by 2008.
