The Kingswood Regional High School Mission Statement should embody the core educational values of our school community. The mission will articulate shared beliefs about teaching and learning that are evident school wide. All aspects of school life from curriculum, instruction and assessment to student discipline, professional development and use of resources are ways in which the mission is actualized.

Mission

Kingwood Regional High School provides a safe learning community in which all students and educators work together to preserve our past and shape our future, as we reach for personal success. Kingswood Regional High School is committed to an equitable and flexible environment where students and educators learn to

  • Develop academically as inquisitive, critical, independent and cooperative learners
  • Develop respect for ourselves and others.
  • Embrace the challenges and responsibilities of a democratic society.
  • Nurture individual talents and abilities.

From the Mission the school community has identified the academic, social and civic expectations that identify school-wide essential learnings for all students. These are competencies that cut across all disciplines. All students are provided with sufficient opportunities to practice and achieve each one. The identification of school-wide learning expectations in the mission means that KRHS has made an explicit commitment to teaching and assessing the achievement of each one of the expectations, individually for each student as regards the academic expectations and school-wide for the civic and social expectations.
