Visiting Team Instructions
Questions to Ask in Meetings with Individual Teachers
On the first day of the visit, following the orientation program provided by the visiting committee chair, each member of the visiting team will be asked to meet individually \Xith two teachers for approximately 30 minutes each. The purpose of these meetings is to provide you with an opportunity to converse informally with teachers regarding the instructional and assessment practices they utilize in their classes with their students, and to review two examples of student work selected by these teachers.
The information you and the other members of the visiting team learn from these meetings will provide one important source of evidence that will prove valuable in the development of working and final conclusions regarding the school's degree of adherence to the Standards for Accreditation on Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment as well as other Standards.
