Architecture in Asia
Most Asian buildings are made from wood or bricks. Some are sticks or thin planks of wood that are weaved together. In some parts of Asia the houses are raised up on stilts. Some houses' roofs are made of grass but in other areas they have metal roofs or wood. On the right is an elementary school building in rural India made from sticks weaved together. On the left are some steps you would find in a building in Rural India. The typical Asian architecture style is small and not very many stories.

Buildings in Asia are usually made of wood, brick, or stone. Because most of Asia is warm people do not usually bother putting insulation in their floors or walls. Houses in Asia are sometimes built on stilts and people put fire wood under the houses. There are many different kinds of architecture throughout Asia. It's different in different parts of Asia. Like in rural areas the buildings are short and small and made out of wood. In the cities in Asia, the buildings are taller and made probably out of cement or brick.
