Worksheet 4

An outline will help you organize your information in a logical order so that your presentation is clear to your audience.

1. Now that you have learned something about your biome and organism, you will need to analyze what you have learned. What central focus ("Big Idea") do you want to teach your audience?

2. Indentify the main points you want to present about your topic. (You might be listing brief answers to your sub-questions.) List the main points in the order in which you plan to present them.

A.

B.

C.

D.

E.

3. Read through your notes again to determine the ideas and facts which are related to each main point. Number or highlight the ideas and facts in your notes to correspond with the main points they describe. (For example, if an idea relates to point "A", then mark an "A" next to it in the margin, or use different colors of ink to show which ideas support which points.)

4. Organize your notes and ideas and develop an outline, mind map or other method of organizing.
